About Dr. Brenda McClain:

 

Dr. McClain has developed and directed several pediatric pain programs at institutions such as the Yale University, Vanderbilt University, St. Louis University and finally serving as the Medical Director for Pediatric Anesthesia at Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center. She is a pioneer in the field of pediatric pain medicine and paved the path for many to follow.  30 years ago, she left her practicing faculty position to pursue additional training in pediatric pain medicine and holds dual board certifications in Pain Management (American Board of Pain Medicine) and Pain Medicine (American Board of Anesthesiology). In 2011, she also co-authored the “Handbook of Pediatric Chronic Pain”.
